Platinum™ Plus drywall framing studs have been produced and shipped to job sites across Canada since early 2015.  These Contractor preferred studs meet or exceed Canadian building codes and ASTM standards for manufacturing and performance.  These studs are now 3^rd party certified to do just that.  This rigorous in plant certification by CWB Group provides assurance for users and specifiers.

Platinum™ Plus is the first drywall framing system in Canada to be certified to CSSBI 61-2017.  CSSBI – Canadian Sheet Steel Building Institute is Canada’s foremost authority on sheet steel, its products, and its’ many applications.  All reputable stud producers belong to CSSBI.

This Canadian certification program affirms that all Platinum™ Plus steel stud and track products meet defined ASTM, AISI and CSA code requirements.  This assurance; combined with extensive sound and fire testing, provides confidence to specifiers and builders. 

This new certification program will elevate the expectations and quality standards from all manufactures.  All CSSBI members are required to produce code compliant product and be certified by July 2018.
