  Position Summary

  The Purchasing Administrator is directly responsible for supporting the Procurement Department performing all relevant procurement administrative duties. The incumbent is directed by the Director of Steel Procurement for all duties and responsibilities.

  Position Summary

  The Territory Manager is responsible for providing both internal and external service to current customers as well as the creation and facilitation of new business. The Territory Manager will reach his or her business targets through effective management of designated territories and physical visits to customer sites.   • Manage incoming requests for quote (RFQ) responses to potential clients.
  • Make front-line assessment of market conditions and advise company of findings.
  • Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products, competitor activities, and other research.
  • Up-sell Company products and services based on customer needs, in accordance with the Company’s program standards.

  What you’ll need:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales role within the steel service industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The expectation to be on the road or out of the office 40% of time.
  • Ability to create and conduct presentations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs; Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract.

  Position Summary

  The main purpose of this position is to help maintain and repair plant production equipment for the day shift. This includes but is not limited to: roll forming lines, folder, brake press, shear, cut to length line, and stamping presses. The objective of this position is that the Maintenance Mechanic has experience maintaining all aspects of production equipment and safety systems.

  • Perform repairs on production equipment as required
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and follow proper procedures
  • Help minimize equipment downtime by reacting quickly to equipment issues

  • Work with machine operators when troubleshooting equipment problems
  • Keep notes on known issues and potential line improvements
  • Maintain working knowledge of all Health & Safety policies.
  • Correct and communicate on any unsafe acts/conditions to plant/ safety manager.
  • Support and promote all aspects of the corporate Health & Safety program.
  • Perform regular workplace inspections, both scheduled and unscheduled.

  What you’ll need:

  • High School Graduate, proficient in speaking and writing English
  • General working knowledge of safe electrical practices
  • Must have electrical trouble shooting experience
  • Knowledge and use of hand an power tools, grinder, cutting torch, welding machine

  Position Summary

  Operates a press brake to manufacture components from metal coils. Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules. Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available. In addition, is responsible to set up and operate power-shear machines to cut steel into specified dimensions and angles.

  What you’ll do:

  • Operate sheet metal forming equipment, such as brake press, shear, punch press etc.
  • Loading, forming, and unloading products ranging from small pieces to larger sheet steel
  • Ensure the accurate measurement of parts using measuring tape, square, and other instrument
  • Complete any other work assigned by Supervisor / Lead hand / Plant Manager;  
  • Abide by all Health & Safety rules, safe practices, and requirements laid out by Bailey

   

  What you’ll need:

  • 1-2 yrs. experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred;
  • Ability to properly use measuring equipment such as tape measures (imperial and metric), calipers, micrometers, etc;
  • Knowledge of hand tools such as tin snips, tape measures, calipers etc;
  • Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing;
  • Personal attributes include ethical, open-minded, observant, and tenacious;
  • Quick learner, team player, yet self-motivated and capable of meeting deadlines.

  Position Summary

  The Plant Supervisor shall ensure that all employees meet production and shipping schedules, product quality, packaging and safety requirements of the company.   • Conduct and document daily workplace walks; inspect product quality; observe for unsafe acts and unsafe conditions; and resolve workers and safety concerns and problems. 
  • Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments. 
  • Assist in setting-up equipment and troubleshoot quality and machine problems and ensure that systems/equipment operate efficiently and effectively.  

  What you’ll need:

  • 3-5 years of dispatching experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. 

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills in English and French. 
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of equipment/tools such as roll former, forklift (counterbalance), overhead crane, strapping machine, natural gas fuel station, chop saw, mobile ladder, two-way radio, etc. 
  • Sound knowledge of the Health and Safety Act and regulations, Bailey products, and policies. 
  • Proficient with MS Office and SAP. 

  Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced plant environment, PPE required.

  • Monday to Friday.

  • Overtime as required.
